The LER Partnership Showcase aims to celebrate partnerships that are enabling LER implementation, and serve as a resource for those who are interested in or working towards their own LER lifecycle implementation. This site is designed to be a central repository where people who are doing the work of LER implementation can share their work and learn from the work of others. For those who are new to the world of LERs, this site surfaces the types of partnerships they may consider cultivating as they begin their own work.

A collective advancing the LER movement through collaboration and innovation.
This site was created by a team of individuals with deep experience in the learning and employment record (LER) and skills-based ecosystem, including work with organizations like SkillsFWD, Eastern Washington University, and The Conquer Company. While this group serves as the initial stewards of this effort, the site is not tied to any one organization. Our goal is to offer a shared space for the broader LER ecosystem—practitioners, researchers, and innovators alike—to showcase their work, share resources, and connect with others advancing skills-based learning and employment through LERs. We believe in collaboration, transparency, and open access as key drivers of progress in this evolving field.

Addressing the need for collaboration and guidance in complex LER implementations.

LERs can unlock opportunities for individuals in education and the workforce by giving them a tool to better understand and communicate their skills. This emerging technology stands to serve as a central component in the skills-based movement as we consider ways to more comprehensively and fairly value peoples' experiences LER isn't easy—it requires collaboration between credentialing bodies, employers, funders, and technology vendors. That's why we created this showcase: to highlight successful partnerships, share learnings, and support others as they build their own LER Strategies.
Serving as a resource to inform, inspire and connect those doing work in the LER ecosystem.

For the promise of LERs to be realized, strategic collaboration is critical. Successful LER implementation requires established partnerships across technical vendors, credentialing organizations (i.e., skills training and higher education institutions, etc.), funders, employers and others. The complexity of the ecosystem can make it hard to know where to begin for those who are looking to launch an LER implementation.

The LER Partnerships Showcase is a first-of-its-kind platform highlighting the strategic partnerships advancing innovation in this field. Each featured project reflects a formal collaboration among key stakeholders and is actively progressing toward full lifecycle implementation. We are proud to recognize these pioneering teams and appreciate their willingness to share insights from their work.

Projects with strong partnerships actively building real-world LER solutions.

The LER Project Showcase features an overview of projects that are demonstrating significant progress towards implementing full lifecycle LER implementations through formalized partnerships with organizations that represent a variety of key roles (tech vendors, funders, credentialing orgs, governance, employers, etc) in the ecosystem.
Awarded and issued by a credentialing institution or other issuer
Received, stored, and managed by the subject or holder, often in a "wallet"
Verified and the contents processed, interpreted, and used to connect people to learning and employment opportunities
