Montana Validated Skills Demonstration

Montana Validated Skills Demonstration

byAccelerateMT

Project Vision

Objective:

Pilot statewide adoption of LERs to understand large scale adoption across all sectors and Montana’s urban, rural, and Indigenous communities and with small, medium, and large employers.

Project Overview:

Given that 2/3 of Montanans are employed by small businesses and that most of those do not hire new employees regularly, our focus is on creating tools that leverage LERs and validated credentials that small employers can use to manage and retain staff. We are piloting a credential registry, working with employers to pilot technology to inventory and manage incumbent workers’ skills, and creating a case study with the Blackfeet Nation that uses Blackfeet values to illustrate workplace skills learned through their culture and worldview that can be validated.
